EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing

EMDR is a therapy approach that helps the brain process difficult experiences so they don’t continue to feel as intense or disruptive in everyday life. Rather than focusing on retelling the details of what happened, EMDR works with how experiences are held in the body and mind.

Many people describe EMDR as helping things feel less “stuck,” allowing memories or experiences to feel more distant, manageable, or settled over time.

When EMDR Might Be Helpful

EMDR is often used to support individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, or experiences that feel difficult to move past. This may include single events, ongoing relational patterns, or moments that continue to affect how you feel, think, or relate to others.

EMDR work is collaborative and paced thoughtfully, with attention to safety, readiness, and individual goals.
